Early Foreign Policy of Armenia (1997)

While only five years had passed since Armenia became independent, the patterns of its foreign policy were already being actively established. 

What is Armenia: crossroads or fault line? A question that has been asked since then many times.

Please read on how Gevorg Ter-Gabrielyan and Ara Nedolyan conceptualized these policies of a state which only recently emerged from a war. The article appeared in the quarterly journal of Istituto Affari Internazionali, and since then the cooperation and dialogue with that leading Italian think tank has continued until today.
